Buyers from 8 states registered on a sunny day for the River Creek Farms 16th Annual Production Sale at the Manhattan Commission Company. River Creek's breeding program of calving ease, performance and carcass merit resulted in the thickest set of bulls ever produced with 70% of the bulls going to repeat customers. Bulls sold to buyers who have purchased bulls for over 25 years from River Creek Farms . Thank you to everyone who took time to attend our sale. We truly appreciate your interest in our program.

High selling honors went to lot 1, RC Club King 040R, the top pick of 7 homozygous black and homozygous polled ET brothers sired by HC Hummer. Club King's dam is a full sib to last years high seller, RC Gridmaster. This exciting bull's epd's rank in the Top 15% for CE and WW, Top 25% YW, Top 10% Marbling and $TI. Charles Hart of Hart and Sons, SD made the long drive to purchase this bull for $12600.

Lot 27 by Retail Product out of a Legacy x Desperado dam was purchased by Leachman Cattle of Colorado, CO for $6700. This SimAngus bull had a 130 IMF ratio, 15.9 REA (112 ratio) and 1386 adjusted yearling weight packed in a 5.7 frame.

Lot 2, a full brother to lot 1 was purchased by Geiger Farms, Troy, KS for $3700. This 6.5 frame bull had a 86 lb. birth weight, 1339 yearling weight, 15.1 REA and 42 cm scrotal.

Lot 5, another full sib to Lots 1 and 2 was purchased by repeat customer Dick Blaske, Blue Rapids, KS for $3500. This bull posted outstanding numbers with a 1382 yearling weight, 14.6 REA and 41 cm scrotal.

Lot 57, a homozygous black fall yearling by KS Primestar M120 was purchased by Trent Wilson, Amort, MO for $3400. This bull had 110 WW and 109 YW ratios with a 4.5 ADG on test. His epd's ranked in the top 20% for CE, WW and YW.

High selling female honors went to Lot 72 , a red fall bred heifer sired by MV Red Light. This deep bodied heifer was purchased by Kenner Simmental, ND for $2700.

24 Purebred yearling bulls averaged $2743, 19 Fall yearling bulls $2170, 20 SimAngus yearling bulls $2105, 7 Fall bred heifers $1810 and 18 Open yearling heifers $1234.
